A first look at the hotly anticipated Yellowstone spin-off, Dutton Ranch, has been unveiled – and it looks like fans are in for a wild ride.
The upcoming series sees Kelly Reilly and Hauser reprise their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, who are striking out on their own and relocating to South Texas for a new adventure.
The drama is set just after the events of the Yellowstone finale, and follows Beth, Rip and their ward, Carter (Finn Little), as they take on a 7,000-acre ranch in South Texas. But their new journey isn’t without challenges; the pair face setbacks while trying to survive in the area, including a ruthless rival ranch run by a wealthy owner.
Fans are counting down the days until the show’s release and undoubtedly hope for the same level of gritty and emotional intensity that made the flagship drama so popular. With franchise creator Taylor Sheridan listed as an executive producer, and Chad Feehan, who worked on Lawmen: Bass Reeves, serving as showrunner, it’s safe to say that viewers are in safe hands.
What to expect from Dutton Ranch
The new nine-part spin-off follows Beth and Rip as they fight to build a future together, “far from the ghosts of Yellowstone”.
The synopsis continues: “They collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
