Aryna Sabalenka is adding a new outfit to the tennis tournament fashion hall of fame. The current world no. 1 is preparing for one of the biggest tournaments of the year, Roland-Garros, which kicks off at the end of the month. In a recent social media post, she gave fans a first look at what she’ll be wearing on court.
Sabalenka shared the look last week on her Instagram. The video shows her wearing a formal black look made up of a silk skirt and a matching top. Sabalenka then lip-syncs along to an audio that says, “Where is my supersuit?” She approaches the camera and puts her hand over the lens, revealing a striking red and black Nike bodysuit.
The bodysuit is primarily made of red and is covered by a black semi-transparent fabric that will surely look great on court, especially when contrasted with Roland Garros’ trademark clay courts. “My Nike supersuit for Roland Garros,” she captioned the post, sparking responses from all sorts of outlets and followers.
Fashion on tennis courts
Tennis is known for its on-court fashion moments. More than most other sports, tennis allows players to showcase their individuality with their kits. Noteworthy fashion moments include Andre Agassi’s colorful and baggy setups, Serena Williams’ tutu skirt made in a Virgil Abloh and Nike collab, and, most recently, Naomi Osaka’s jellyfish-inspired look, which she wore at the Australian Open.
“When I look back at the players who came before me, I think about how those moments – those looks – have become memories that live forever. So much of the time, other people get to write our stories for us,” said Osaka in an interview with Vogue. “This felt like a moment where I could write a little bit of my own.”

“Working with Material Good allows me to celebrate my creativity in a new way, completing my look through jewelry that feels intentional and modern.” Sabalenka is also an ambassador for Gucci, wearing the storied brand’s pieces off the courts.
