Britney Spears was just trying to enjoy a good hamburger and tell a good story in an LA restaurant when things were blown out of proportion. At least this is according to her reps.
News broke on Thursday that Britney was causing “chaos” at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday night. Insiders told TMZ she arrived there with a man and woman and quickly began screaming and, at times, “barking.” While they said she still looked “cute,” they said the scene was “kind of sad.”
However, a rep for the pop star called the story “completely blown out of proportion” and said she was “enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard.” As for the barking, they said she was telling a story and recounting “how her dog was barking at the neighbors.”
Someone eating at the restaurant went on to claim that she walked by their table holding a knife, which caused fear that she might accidentally stab someone. But they noted she could have also just forgotten to put it down at her table.
Britney ordered a hamburger and fries along with what looked like orange juice. The rep said the knife and burger were directly correlated, and at no point did she put “anyone in danger with a knife.” “She was cutting her hamburger in half,” they explained.
According to witnesses, Britney and the man, who reps say is her bodyguard, were feeding each other while saying “I love you.” It’s unclear if it was romantic or playful.
Witnesses also claimed she started smoking a cigarette inside near the door, and staff had to intervene and tell her to turn it off. Another patron described the area under her table as “like a toddler had been there.”
Still, her reps are slamming the reports, saying, “This constant attack on everything that she does, and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person.” “This is ridiculous, and it needs to stop now.”

Over the weekend, she shared a photo holding a baby snake she saw at the pet store with her kids, writing, “Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck… I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey… all a blessing in disguise…,” she wrote.
“I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never-ending journey, and sometimes I just stop, look up, and say wow God, I think that was you and smile on!!!!” the “Lucky” singer added.
