Cardi B reveals what she wants to leave her children when she passes

Cardi B is thinking about the future of her finances, and not just when it comes to her music. The rapper recently opened up about motherhood, business, her growing empire, and the legacy she wants to leave for her four children. 

During an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier at Create & Cultivate LA, Cardi described herself as “a whole walking business” and acknowledged that balancing that brand with her personal life can be complicated.

Cardi sounded like she doesn’t want to be working, saying she’d rather be spending island time with family. “Right now I really wish I was in the Dominican Republic with my kids and my grandparents,” she said. “That’s what I really want to be and where I want to be at.”

But Cardi seems to be afraid of slowing down. “I feel like I’m hot and I don’t want to lose the momentum,” she said. “I’m hot right now. Like I can’t lose it.”

As Cardi looks ahead to what’s next professionally, she’s also thinking about what all of that work will eventually mean for her children. “Is this business for them, for your kids?” Frazier asked her about Grow Good, her haircare company.

“Absolutely,” Cardi replied. She explained that she had been thinking about what would happen to her assets if she were no longer around.

“I was panicking,” she said. “It’s like, yo, I leave this earth and my kids going to have just music royalties that they mostly going to have to be arguing with people about it.”

Cardi said her children will have “a couple of properties” and “liquid money” but she wanted to create something that would belong directly to them.

“What is something that, God forbid something happens to me, I leave behind that is for them?” she said. “This is, God forbid something happened to me, this is theirs. It’s yours.”

The “Bodak Yellow” singer is a mother of four. She shares daughter Kulture, 8, son Wave, 5, and daughter Blossom, 2, with ex Offset, while she welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy, with NFL star Stefon Diggs in November 2025. The baby’s name has not been publicly confirmed

While that may sound like a lot, she said she’s not done. She can see herself having 1 -2 more, but she made it clear that’s something that would happen in the future, not now. 

Cardi splits with her management company 

Her comments arrive as she enters another major moment in her career: Cardi has parted ways with longtime management firm Full Stop Management, TMZ reported Friday. Sources with direct knowledge told the outlet that the split was amicable.

Which means Cardi wants to keep the momentum going without the management company she joined in 2022. Full Stop, which is run by Jeffrey Azoff, had represented Cardi for several years, with Shawn “Tubby” Holiday playing a major role in her career during his time at the firm.
