Just days after his surprise wedding, Charles Spencer, the younger brother of Princess Diana, has hosted another shindig – but this time at home on his 13,000-acre Northamptonshire estate, Althorp House.
The young brother of Princess Diana, 62, shared photos featuring his new bride, Dr Cat Jarman, 43, as well as their welcomed guests, enjoying the grounds of Charles and Diana’s sprawling childhood home.
Accompanying the image were the words: “Last night @CatJarman & I welcomed @NorthantsCCC & their wives & girlfriends to @AlthorpHouse for a barbecue. Felt quite short next to 6 foot 7 inch Australian bowler Harry Conway. Great to see fellow Aussie internationals Nathan McSweeney & Chris Lynn relaxing in the Library.”
Newlywed Cat was simply glowing for the occasion, wearing a beautiful blue patterned halterneck top, which she paired with summery light blue wide-leg jeans. Completing her look, Cat wore a killer pair of cork wedges.
Wedding glow
The snaps came under a week after Charles shared photos from his secret nuptials to his podcasting co-host, the new husband-and-wife duo tying the knot in Arizona.
The Earl married Norwegian archaeologist Cat on Friday, 15 May, and last Friday revealed the news by sharing stunning wedding photos in front of the iconic Cathedral Rock in the red hills of Sedona.
Taking to Instagram, Charles said it was the “happiest day ever” and revealed their wedding date.
The couple, both published authors, have been dating for two years and met after Charles was asked to review one of Cat’s books, called River Kings.
Cat opted for an unconventional baby blue wedding gown featuring an elegant low V-neckline and a billowing skirt.
Charles and Cat also chose to honeymoon in the USA during their whirlwind wedding week. Photos from their loved-up week saw the couple riding on horseback through a desert landscape.
