Suits star Rick Hoffman revealed that he had undergone an incredible transformation following his exit from the show’s spinoff, Suits LA, in 2025. The 56-year-old looked incredible in a photo posted to Instagram, which saw him showcasing his slimmed-down figure and restored hairline in the mirror.
The star snapped a mirror selfie, dressed in a white button-down shirt and gray trousers, and captioned the new look “Been a min”, referring to his social media hiatus. “#circlingback,” he added. Fans rushed to the comment section to share their shock over Rick’s major transformation, with one writing: “You look great!” while another added: “Wow didn’t recognize him for a sec.”
“You look terrific! Congratulations,” said another, while a fourth chimed in: “Wow you’re looking very dapper.”
Rick revealed in the comment section that the secret to his incredible weight loss was “intense intermittent fasting and [the] keto diet”, as well as “no alcohol”. The actor portrayed lawyer Louis Litt in Suits for nine seasons opposite the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. He also attended her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, and went viral for making a funny face during the festivities.
“As time goes on, I’m starting to smell something really terrible and foul, and I’m very sensitive when it comes to that,” Rick explained on the Chicks in the Office podcast when asked the reason for his scrunched-up face. “How can I help getting away from this goofy face?”
He then asked his co-stars if they could smell anything off. “I’m like, ‘Do you guys smell that?’ And they’re like, ‘No.’ So now I’m like literally by myself…And that’s what they got [on camera].”
While Meghan exited the show in 2018 before joining the royal family, Rick continued to star in the series until it ended a year later.

He then reprised his role in the 2025 spinoff, Suits LA. “When I got the call, I was naturally excited and surprised, and thrilled to say yes,” he told The Hollywood Reporter of returning to the character.
“How they were able to fit [Louis’ journey] that has now formed in one episode, I thought, was just really well done. I liked how they were able to do it in such a small amount of time. They were able to deal with some actual, real, existential moments, as well as ridiculous buffoonery.”
He previously shared in an interview with JT Foxx that being diagnosed with OCD as a young adult helped him go further in the entertainment industry.
“I got struck with major anxiety where I would be woken up, and I felt like I was jumping out of my skin 24/7 in this nightmare,” he explained, adding that having OCD felt like “your world is impending doom around the corner every day”.
“Had I not had that happen, I never would have made it with any career. It was a real quick slingshot through life lesson to really know where you stand on this planet, which is just with everyone else,” he said.
