Monaco threw two days of celebrations at the Grimaldi Palace to mark the royal wedding of Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock, an event so lavish it earned the nickname “Monaco’s biggest party in 55 years.” On the second day, July 2, 2011, the couple held their religious ceremony at 5 p.m., a full 24 hours after their civil wedding, followed by a formal dinner.

For the religious ceremony, Albert’s older sister chose an eye-catching pink dress with crystal-trimmed bands under the bust and at the waist, a nod to ’20s style, paired with a matching jacket. The whole look was Chanel. Her youngest daughter, Alexandra of Hanover, wore a mini dress with an embroidered neckline and ballet flats finished with a small bow at the toe.

That evening, Princess Caroline switched to a midnight-blue lace midi dress, styled with jeweled sandals, a gold clutch with a fringe tassel, and a tiara to top it off.
Princess Caroline’s eldest daughter made a statement in a pastel pink cocktail dress with a boat neckline and horizontal pleating, from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2011 Haute Couture collection. She finished the look with crisscross-strap sandals and a woven headband.

For the evening event, Charlotte Casiraghi stood out in a sky-blue gown by Giambattista Valli, with a jeweled waistline and a matching cape.
For the religious ceremony, Tatiana Santo Domingo wore a short, cross-front dress cinched at the waist with a tie. Its bold violet color popped against her light-toned accessories, and her bamboo clutch added an unexpected touch.

For the gala dinner, Santo Domingo switched into a flowy nude-toned design with a boat neckline, built from delicate layers of chiffon.
In the case of Borromeo, her daytime look leaned toward soft, muted tones; for the evening look, she went all out in a metallic boat-neck gown with structured shoulders, long sleeves, and a sequin-covered train.
Pierre Casiraghi’s then-girlfriend wore a fitted, pale grey lace dress, paired with fishnet tights, a small side-tilted hat, and heels with an ankle strap, an unexpected combination that stood out from the crowd.
