Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber dies at 27

Presley Gerber, the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, has died. The model, who was also the older brother of Kaia Gerber, was 27.

According to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Presley died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehabilitation facility. An autopsy has yet to be completed, and an official cause of death has not been announced.

A representative for the Gerber family confirmed the devastating news, asking for privacy for Cindy, Rande and Kaia during what they described as a “very difficult and painful time.”

Presley was born on July 2, 1999, to Cindy and Rande, who married the previous year. Like his famous mother and younger sister, he went on to build a career in fashion.

He made his runway debut as a teenager and later modeled for major fashion houses and brands, including Moschino, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. Over the years, Presley appeared alongside members of his family at fashion events and other public engagements.

In recent years, Presley had also become increasingly candid about his mental health and struggles with addiction.

In December 2025, he shared a deeply personal video discussing his mental health journey, including the panic attacks he had experienced and the medications he was taking as part of his treatment.

His sister Kaia also spoke about her brother’s experience in a Vogue interview published in August 2026. The actress and model discussed how Presley’s decade-long struggle with drug addiction had affected their family and influenced her own tendency to avoid asking her parents for help.

Kaia expressed admiration for her brother’s decision to speak openly about his experiences, describing him as someone willing to show his humanity publicly rather than hide what he was going through.

Presley and Kaia shared a close bond and were frequently photographed together with their parents. One of Presley’s recent public appearances came in May, when he joined Cindy and Rande in Los Angeles to support Kaia at the launch of her RE/DONE collaboration. Presley’s cause of death remains pending.
