The entertainment begins well before kickoff with a star-studded closing ceremony celebrating the tournament and the 48 participating nations.

Jennifer Hudson is also scheduled to perform the U.S. national anthem before the match, according to AP News.
Unlike previous FIFA World Cups, the 2026 tournament introduces its first official halftime concert during the final. The concept mirrors the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show while maintaining football as the centerpiece of the event.
The show has been developed through FIFA’s partnership with Global Citizen and aims to raise awareness and funding for the Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports access to education worldwide. Shakira confirmed they plan to donate half a million dollars to Venezuela recovery efforts after the deadly earthquake that claimed the lives of over 3,000 people, including children.
Who is curating the halftime show?
Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, is serving as the creative curator for the historic performance. FIFA selected Martin to help assemble a globally diverse lineup capable of appealing to audiences across continents.
