Courteney Cox’s daughter Coco shows off chest tattoo in rare family photo

Courteney Cox’s daughter, Coco Arquette, just showed off a new look. The 22-year-old posed in a sweet selfie with her mom and revealed a change.

The Friends actress celebrated her daughter’s 22nd birthday on Instagram on Saturday, June 13 with two photos – a selfie and a throwback, writing: “Happy Birthday Co. You are such a wise soul. Funniest person I know and my life teacher. I love you x.”

In the selfie, Coco showed off her chest tattoo which features two small alien characters. The throwback photo that Courteney shared with her 14.9 million followers was the two of them hugging while standing in the ocean.

The actress’s famous friends and many fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes for Coco. Reese Witherspoon wrote: “Happy birthday sweet Coco!,” while Isla Fisher added: “Happy Birthday Cocolicious.”

And just two days later, Coco wished her mom a happy birthday on Monday, June 15. The famous daughter posted a photo of her and Courteney hugging to her Instagram Story, writing: “Happy birthday mama.”

Courteney and Coco’s close relationship

The mother-daughter duo are very close. Courteney welcomed Coco in 2004 with her then-husband, actor David Arquette, and showcases her close relationship with her daughter on her social media platforms.

Coco lives a relatively private life, but has recently stepped out more. She appears to be following in her parents’ footsteps after starring in the documentary You Cannot Kill David Arquette.

She’s also a singer! In 2020, Courteney shared a video to Instagram of her daughter singing Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs” as she played piano. “Proud of my coconut. #fleetwoodmac,” Courteney captioned the video.

Coco and her “godmama”

After Coco was born, Courteney and David made their close friend Jennifer Aniston her godmother. Like Coco and her mom, she and Jennifer are very tight. Their sweet relationship has been put on full display on social media, with The Morning Show star often joining Courteney and her long-term partner, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, on outings and at their $9 million Malibu home.

To mark Coco’s 17th birthday in 2021, Jennifer took to Instagram to share the cutest throwback photo from the youngster’s childhood. “Happy Birthday, my sweet Cocolicious. Godmama LOVES you,” the Marley & Me star wrote, captioning the photo of the pair with matching windswept hair. Coco looks to be under five years old at the time, wearing a cute summer dress as she placed her little hands on Jennifer’s face.

And in February 2023, when Courteney was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Coco and Jennifer sat in the crowd snuggling. “You’re one of the funniest human beings on the planet earth,” Jen said later during the ceremony, Coco smiling from the audience. “Nothing makes me happier than a Courteney joke. Thank you for enriching our lives with your work. We are so proud of you.”
