Cristiano Ronaldo and his team, Al-Nassr, have claimed the title in the Saudi Pro League after defeating Damac FC 4-1. On top of the team’s victory, the Portuguese soccer star scored a brace during the match, accounting for two of the team’s four goals.
The superstar’s family joined in on the celebrations. At the end of the match, after receiving his medal, the team captain proudly walked across the field with his family, carrying 4-year-old Bella Esmeralda in his arms.
In addition to reaching a milestone of 37 titles and 973 goals, Cristiano Ronaldo showed his more emotional side. After scoring his second goal of the match in the 80th minute, he couldn’t hold back the tears. “El Bicho” was overcome with emotion and broke down in tears while dedicating his second goal to his family. They were watching the game closely from a luxury box at Alawwal Park, proudly supporting Cristiano.
The player’s tears were well-justified, as this marks the very first time his team has been crowned champions, following two runner-up finishes and four years of hard work.
Through Instagram Stories, Georgina Rodríguez shared her arrival at the stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with their youngest children: twins Eva María and Mateo, Alana Martina, and the baby of the house, Bella Esmeralda.
On her social media, “Gio” also posted a sweet video of Cristiano waving to the family from the field. The Portuguese player was substituted in the 85th minute after scoring his two goals. In the clip, Cristiano can be seen walking off the field satisfied with his performance. Looking up toward the luxury box where his family was seated, he made a heart gesture with his hands.
Cristiano Ronaldo: “It means so much to us”
On his Instagram profile, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a video of the exact moment he was handed the trophy by the organizers. The soccer player then joins his team as the scene turns into a celebration of pure cheers, with Al-Nassr fans celebrating the team’s victory.
“It means so much to us,” the team captain wrote alongside the video, which quickly racked up thousands of congratulatory comments and more than 1.5 million likes.
The triumph with Al-Nassr comes just a few weeks before the kickoff of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be his sixth World Cup appearance and his final tournament. With this event, the Portuguese star hopes to win Portugal’s first-ever World Cup title.
According to ESPN Deportes, throughout his five World Cup appearances, Cristiano Ronaldo has played 22 matches, scored 8 goals, and logged 1,764 minutes on the field.
