The Cannes Film Festival is once again bringing together some of the world’s biggest stars on the French Riviera, where they are attending premieres for the season’s most anticipated films. This weekend, celebrities including Demi Moore, Barbara Palvin, Cate Blanchett, and Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet outside the Palais des Festivals in some of their most striking looks. Georgina Rodríguez, however, has yet to make her red carpet debut despite already being in Cannes. Still, she did not need a red carpet moment to leave everyone speechless. She attended a party, showing off a radical hair transformation she did while there.
Georgina Rodríguez’s New Look: Dye Job or Wig?
Georgina arrived in the idyllic Mediterranean destination just hours earlier, wearing a two-tone Chanel look featuring a halter-neck dress with a fitted silhouette, draped detailing, and a flared mini skirt. She paired the outfit with high mule-style heels, a matching handbag, and dark sunglasses.

To achieve Georgina’s blonde shade in a single session, the hair would need to undergo extensive bleaching, which can cause significant damage. Because of this, experts typically recommend achieving the transformation over several sessions with hydrating treatments in between. That detail could suggest that Georgina is wearing a wig. We spoke with professional hairstylist María Roberts, founder of Madart Hair and Studio 25, to find out whether Georgina’s look is a wig or the result of an extremely aggressive bleaching process.

According to María, when the hair is carefully smoothed down and secured with a wig cap before applying the wig, the transformation can appear completely real. Even more so when, as Dimitris Giannetos, Georgina’s stylist and the hairstylist to many other celebrities, has done, a few loose strands are left around the front to create a more natural effect.
It was Georgina’s own hairstylist, who is also trusted by stars such as Demi Moore and Amal Clooney, who revealed on social media that he was responsible for both the styling and the color transformation. “French Girl Blonde” is the shade he selected, and he shared the following images online.
