Gigi Hadid made sure to refresh her luscious locks just in time for her best friend Taylor Swift’s reported wedding on July 3. The supermodel unveiled her new hairstyle ahead of the big day, with the look being dubbed as an updated version of the C-cut, sweeping, face-framing layers that curl inwards to form the coveted ‘C’ shape – think Jennifer Aniston’s “Rachel” haircut.
The 31-year-old’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos took to Instagram to share an insight into Gigi’s new layered look in a honey-blonde hue. “I wanted to create the updated version of the C-cut giving this evening to Gigi some Love Layers (aka heart shape layers)!” they penned in the caption.
“A bit more lift on the roots and the first layers start hitting a little below the chin till the tips of the hair! It creates basically an illusion of heart shape layers! Volume on the top and more narrow at the bottom! In this case you can create an illusion of contour with the haircut so the face looks more structured! Always this haircut looks good with a mid part! A big round brush, pin the hair up till they cool down after brush the hair with your fingers and last spray some hairspray till you create your heart shape Layers, your LoveLayers!”
The post featured a stunning portrait of Gigi gazing directly at the camera, her glowing complexion framed by sweeping, ’90s-inspired layers. She wore a simple baby-blue T-shirt.
For the wedding, Gigi slipped into a $15K Blush Pink Gown from Wiederhoeft. The Maggie dress debuted in the Spring/Summer 2025 runway collection and features a corseted bodice with metal construction. The entire garment is hand-embroidered with pink glass cut beads for a dazzling finish. In his debut 2019 collection, Wiederhoeft introduced his now-signature wasp corset, inspired by the insect’s sharply tapered stinger. The design features a structured, metal-boned V-shaped silhouette, complete with a lace-up back.
Gigi attended the nuptials with her partner, Bradley Cooper. The actor looked suave in a black tuxedo and crisp white shirt.
