Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding extravaganza in Sicily, Italy, has begun, and no expense has been spared as the newlyweds prepare to celebrate their recent nuptials with a three-day celebration.
The couple, who officially tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall on Sunday, May 31, are hosting celebrations across several Palermo venues from June 5 to June 7, with the total cost of the wedding reported to be around $1.7 million.
Dua and Callum arrived in Sicily on Wednesday night ahead of their guests and have set up base at the Villa Igiea Hotel on the outskirts of Palermo.
Among the rumored 300 guestlist are Charlie XCX and her husband, The 1975’s drummer, George Daniel, who landed in Sicily on Thursday, and Tame Impala singer Kevin Parker and his wife Sophie.
Other guests expected include Elton John, Mark Ronson, Tove Lo, Olivia Dean, Chris Stapleton, and Donatella Versace.

The main event is said to be taking place at Villa Valguarnera in nearby Bagheria on Saturday, June 6, with Elton John reportedly performing a set at the reception. Dua and Callum will exchange vows again at the 18th-century Baroque property, “one of Italy’s most outstanding National Historic Landmarks.”
“The interiors feature the stately rooms of Marianna Ucrìa, of Francesco Algarotti (the inspirer of Frederik II of Prussia), of the Zodiac, of Newton, of Captain Cook, the hall of Hercules, the ‘Room of the Living Dead,’ the libraries with their over 15 thousand volumes,” the website reads.
“The large terraces with breathtaking views of the sea, the symbolic meanings of the decorations and the stories of the illustrious people who lived in the residence, from European royalty to General Patton, from great writers such as Goethe and Stendhal, to famous film figures like Jean Renoir, Visconti, Anna Magnani and many others.”

A great honor
Dua and Callum’s decision to hold their second wedding in Palermo has been called a “great honor.”
‘For us, having Dua Lipa’s wedding here is a great honor, and the welcome they will receive will promote the city on the international stage,” Antonio Rini, from Palermo Council’s tourism department, said.
“Several big international artists will be arriving in Palermo for the wedding, and this is a great return for the city.”
