Jake Paul is setting his sights on a new challenge.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer recently claimed that several professional football teams have already reached out about a possible future in the league, despite having not played organized football since high school. The bold comments come just months after Paul revealed that his boxing future was uncertain following injuries sustained during his fight against Anthony Joshua.

Jake Paul Says NFL Teams Are Interested

Speaking with Front Office Sports, Paul said he’s already had conversations with multiple teams and coaches about making the jump from the boxing ring to the football field.

“I have a couple of teams and coaches that I’ve already talked to that are interested in bringing me onto the team,” Paul claimed.

The 29-year-old didn’t reveal which organizations have expressed interest, but he appeared confident that he could make the transition with relative ease.

Paul, who stands at 6-foot-1, said he’d prefer to play wide receiver if given the opportunity.

“There’s a Lot of Mediocrity”

Never one to shy away from making headlines, Paul took things a step further by criticizing the level of athleticism in the NFL.

According to the social media star, many current players wouldn’t be able to match his physical abilities.

“I have better hands than them, I’m faster than them, I’m stronger than them, I work harder than them,” Paul said. “Really, all it’s going to take is me, after boxing, practicing some routes.”

He added that there is “a lot of mediocrity” in the league and suggested that becoming an NFL player would be “quite easy” once he commits to learning the finer points of the position.

The comments are likely to raise eyebrows among football fans, considering the NFL is widely regarded as one of the most competitive sports leagues in the world.

Cleveland Browns Get a Shout-Out

If Paul does eventually make his NFL dreams a reality, he already knows where he’d like to play.

The Cleveland native said he’d love to suit up for his hometown team, the Cleveland Browns, noting that his family has supported the franchise for years.

“I’ve been a Browns fan my whole entire life. My mom is a die-hard Browns fan, and I think they could use some good receivers over there,” he joked.

Paul’s football experience dates back to his time at Westlake High School in Ohio, a program that has produced NFL talent, including JaQuan Hardy and Kevin Houser. However, he hasn’t played competitively since graduating.

What’s Next for Jake Paul?

For now, Paul’s focus remains on boxing — though his future in the sport remains somewhat uncertain.

Earlier this year, he admitted that his career was “most definitely in doubt” after suffering a broken jaw during his loss to Anthony Joshua.

Despite the setback, Paul has built an impressive 12-2 record in the ring, defeating several former MMA stars, including Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley. His only losses have come against Tommy Fury and Joshua.

Whether an NFL team is willing to take a chance on the outspoken entertainer remains to be seen. But if history has proven anything, it’s that Jake Paul rarely backs down from a challenge — or an opportunity to make headlines.
