The Jonas Brothers are not Latinos, but are obsessed with the culture, and we love it! The brothers gave fans an unexpected comedy moment when Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas recreated a dramatic fighting moment inspired by the telenovela “Despertar Contigo.”
The playful skit featured the Jonas Brothers stars pretending to “slap” each other in a scene featuring Francisca Zampogna (formerly known as Francisca Lachapel) from “Despierta América”. The recreated moment leaned heavily into the signature style of Latin American soap operas, which are known for being over the top, exaggerated, and hyper-dramatic.
The Jonas Brothers have increasingly leaned into comedic content, social media sketches, and bilingual audience engagement in recent years.
The scene arrives during a period when nostalgic television references and parody content continue performing well online. In 2024 and 2025, Saturday Night Live honored “Sabado Gigante” and “El Chavo del 8” in skits.
The Jonas Brothers are currently on their world tour. On May 11, 2026, they will perform at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile; on May 13, 2026, they will take their music to the Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil.

In January, Mr.Eats305 sat with Joe Jonas at Caracas Bakery, for a Miami-style conversation about the city’s food culture. The YouTube episode, filmed inside one of the most loved Venezuelan bakeries in Miami, gives viewers a guided tour of Miami through the eyes of Joe.
The singer and actor shared the specific places and neighborhoods that mean something to him. He says, “I love Nemo,” and then adds “Little Haiti and Little River” as places he connects with. According to Joe, the lather is his favorite.

For Joe, food is tied to community. He compares Miami to New York, saying that “New York is first and Miami is a strong second.” He adds, “But I love Latam food like any, like traditional Cuban Caribbean, like that you get the best kind here because it is so close and I feel like you get the proper produce.” This love for Latin American and Caribbean flavors explains why Miami holds such a special place for him.
