Britney Spears described her recent DUI ordeal as a “blessing in disguise” while breaking her silence following her sentencing and departure from rehab.

The 44-year-old singer, who was arrested on suspicion of DUI on March 4, took to Instagram on Saturday to share thoughts about her ongoing “spiritual journey.”

Her post came only days after she pleaded guilty during her arraignment and received a sentence of 12 months probation.

The update also followed Spears’ nearly three-week stay at a luxury rehab center, where she sought treatment for substance abuse and mental health struggles. The singer’s family reportedly reunited over the weekend without her present.

Sharing a picture of a yellow-and-white snake, Spears wrote: “Went to the pet store with my kids and look at what what a beautiful baby snake this is…

“Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck… I’m so d**n thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey… all a blessing in disguise…”

The “Baby One More Time” performer continued by admitting she is still working on self-compassion.

“I still need to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself…It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!”

Earlier this week, Spears entered a guilty plea during an arraignment held Monday at Ventura County Superior Court.

Her attorney, Michael Goldstein, appeared on her behalf, while the singer did not attend the hearing in person.

As part of the ruling, Spears was sentenced to one day in jail, which she had already completed serving, in addition to 12 months probation.

She was also instructed to complete a three-month alcohol and drug education course.

The star received a $721 fine and was ordered to attend weekly sessions with a psychologist as well as meet with a psychiatrist twice each month.

In addition, the court directed Spears to avoid alcohol and drugs unless they were prescribed medications.

Ventura County Superior Court Commissioner Matthew Nemerson further ruled that if Spears is stopped by police again, officers would be permitted to search her vehicle without a warrant.

After the arraignment concluded, Goldstein addressed reporters outside the courthouse, stating, “Miss Spears is doing well. She came home in anticipation of this hearing.”
