John Travolta had his daughter’s support for a very special occasion. At the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Travolta and his daughter Ella Bleu walked the red carpet in matching black. The two will be celebrating the release of Travolta’s feature film debut, “Propeller One-Way Night Coach,” later today.
Travolta and Ella wore black for the elegant occasion, with Travolta wearing a three-piece suit paired with a white beret and reading glasses.
Ella wore a sleek and elegant sleeveless black gown that she paired with some stunning silver and black earrings, a silver watch, and matching rings. She completed the look with a retro hairstyle, with her shoulder-length hair flipped out at the ends. The pair attended the premiere of “Karma,” the new Marion Cotillard movie.
It’s been a big festival for Travolta. Upon his arrival at Cannes, he was presented with an honorary Palme d’Or. He was deeply moved. “This is beyond the Oscar,” he said, according to Variety.
“I can’t believe this. This is the last thing I expected,” he said, as the crowd cheered him. He then turned to Thierry Fremaux, the Cannes’ director. “You said this would be a special night, but I didn’t know it would mean this.”
Travolta and his daughter collaborate in his new film
Travolta’s new film is an adaptation of the book he wrote, published in 1997, based on his lifelong passion for aviation and his desire to publish a family-friendly story for his son.
The film follows a young airplane enthusiast and his mom as they take on a cross-country trip to Hollywood on a plane. “Between airline meals, charming flight attendants, unexpected stopovers, larger-than-life passengers, and a thrilling glimpse at first class, the journey unfolds in moments both magical and unexpected, charting the course for the boy’s future,” reads the film’s synopsis.
Travolta shares three kids with his late wife, Kelly Preston, who died in 2020 after a cancer battle. She was 57. The two had Ella, 26, Jett, who died at 16 in 2009, and Benjamin, 15.
