Kate Hudson was glowing with pride as she stepped out with her teenage son, Bingham Bellamy, for the season two premiere of her hit Netflix show, Running Point. The actress arrived at the LA event on Wednesday night in a stunning sleeveless white gown with a high neckline and a softly draped silhouette that flowed into a maxi skirt.
She wore her iconic blonde locks in an updo with face-framing tendrils, and completed the look with metallic silver earrings and a smoky eye.
Her 14-year-old son made his first red carpet appearance in 10 years, dressed in black trousers and a white button-up shirt. His most recent red carpet showing was in 2016 at the premiere of Kung Fu Panda 3, which he attended alongside his mother and his older brother, Ryder Robinson.
Ryder was by Kate’s side as she graced the Oscars red carpet in March as a Best Actress nominee, following her performance in Song Sung Blue. “I’ve never been more proud of my mother,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“I have to say, I’ve seen my mom close up more than anybody…put in more work and more dedication and more time than I’ve ever seen in my life. And it’s just such a beautiful thing.”
Kate shares Ryder, 22, with her former husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, and shares Bingham with her former fiancé, Muse rocker Matt Bellamy.
She is also mother to a seven-year-old daughter, Rani, whom she shares with her fiancé, musician Danny Fujikawa. Kate split from Bingham’s dad after four years together in 2014, yet their co-parenting relationship is stronger than ever, as she told Women’s Health.

“One thing that Matt said to me, which I loved, is, ‘I just want to make sure that Bing feels like he’s gaining something, not losing something,'” she said. “I think it’s even bonded us closer – me, Matt, [his wife] Elle [Evans], and Danny – because we have to trust that we’re protecting each other.”
The Almost Famous actress has been open about parenting in a blended family, and how it works for her troop of kids.
“It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it,” she told The Times. “The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.”
Unlike his older brother Ryder, Bingham prefers life out of the spotlight and is passionate about finance, as Kate shared with People.
“He really is into the stock market and has been for years,” she explained. “He trades his own stocks. He reads the news about where things are. He knows the class of each stock and each bond and all this stuff. It’s crazy. So he’ll be very interesting to watch grow up.”
