Holmes and Jackson were in attendance alongside the cast and crew at the premiere of their new film, hosted over the weekend in one of Tribeca’s key premiere slots.

For the outing, Holmes wore a champagne silk dress that she complemented with black heels. She completed the look with a shorter hairstyle and a half-bun, making her look youthful and reminiscent of her years spent on the set of “Dawson’s Creek.”

Joshua Jackson wore a blue suit that he paired with a white button-up and brown loafers.

In an interview on the red carpet, Jackson spoke about working with Holmes and their relationship, which envelops most of their life, beginning when they were both in their teens and getting started in the entertainment industry.

The time that we spent together when we were young is very precious to both of us,” Jackson said to a reporter on the red carpet, holding on to Holmes’ hand.  “And [it] is like one of the core personal and professional relationships in my life.”

Jackson addressed Holmes in the interview, praising her for spearheading “Happy Hours,” which she wrote and directed.

“We had talked about it over the years, and then — I don’t think you’re giving yourself enough credit — because then she creates this beautiful space for the two of us to come back and work together and tell a beautiful story,” he said. “A hopeful story, a real human story and for me, I was both flattered and very excited to have the opportunity to come back and share this space with you after all of these years.”

“And have a story that is ours to tell. Right? You wrote this for us. You did the whole thing. So it was magical for me to be able to come back. And you waited for me, which I appreciated,” he concluded.

Jackson and Holmes’ relationship

Jackson and Holmes played Pacey and Joey on “Dawson’s Creek,” one of the biggest projects of their career, launching the careers of both of them and their co-stars, including the late James Van Der Beek and Michelle Williams.

Their characters dated on the series, becoming the most famous and beloved couple. Jackson and Holmes dated for about a year, too, adding a special layer to the plot of “Happy Hours,” which follows a pair of high school sweethearts who reunite decades later.

New Yorkers can watch the film at the Tribeca Festival, with tickets available on the website and shows on June 9th and June 13th.
