Katy Perry had a little fun with her dating history during a recent concert, and fans quickly picked up on the subtle message.
While performing at the O Son do Camiño music festival in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, on June 18, the pop star incorporated a cheeky visual gag into her performance of “Never Really Over,” her 2020 hit about struggling to move on from a past relationship.
Fake Calls From Famous Exes Pop Up On Stage
As Perry sang the track, a giant iPhone graphic appeared behind her, showing a series of incoming calls from contacts that seemed to reference some of her most famous former flames.
Fan-captured footage showed calls coming in from “JM,” widely believed to be a nod to John Mayer, complete with a guitar emoji. Another incoming call appeared to reference Diplo.
Playing along with the bit, Perry repeatedly hit the red decline button while singing the lyrics, “Thought we kissed goodbye / thought we meant this time / Was the last / but I guess it’s never really over.”
The most talked-about moment came when “OB” appeared on the screen, an apparent reference to Orlando Bloom. The contact was accompanied by a spade emoji, seemingly a nod to Bloom’s well-known ace of spades tattoo. Perry once again chose not to answer.
A Sweet Nod to Boyfriend Justin Trudeau
While several exes were left hanging, one caller got a very different response.
Later in the performance, the initials “JPJT” appeared on the oversized phone display alongside a Canadian flag emoji. Fans quickly connected the initials to Justin Pierre James Trudeau, the former Canadian prime minister who has been romantically linked to Perry for nearly a year.

Perry and Trudeau first sparked dating rumors in 2025 after being spotted together on several occasions. While they’ve largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight, public appearances and subtle social media moments have continued to fuel interest in the romance.
Life After Orlando Bloom
The playful concert moment comes months after Perry and Bloom officially ended their relationship.
The former couple got engaged in 2019 and welcomed daughter Daisy Dove Bloom in 2020. After nearly a decade together, they announced in 2025 that they were shifting their focus to co-parenting.

Notably absent from the on-stage bit was Perry’s ex-husband Russell Brand, whom she divorced in 2012 after a brief marriage.
Still, the concert stunt gave fans a rare glimpse into Perry’s sense of humor about her romantic past while making it clear which relationship currently has her attention.
