Spain is headed to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, and no one seemed happier than Lamine Yamal’s girlfriend, Inés García. On Tuesday, July 14, La Roja defeated France 2-0 at Dallas Stadium in Arlington to book its place in Sunday’s championship match. As Spanish fans celebrated around the world, García marked the milestone with an emotional post of her own.

The 21-year-old influencer has been by Yamal’s side throughout his first World Cup. She attended most of Spain’s matches proudly wearing a white jersey with his No. 19. Plus, she documented everything on her social media, showing just how proud she is of the young soccer star.

Inés García has been Lamine Yamal’s good luck charm in the 2026 World Cup.

Moments after the final whistle, García shared a selfie with a friend as they celebrated Spain’s victory. Smiling and wrapped in each other’s arms, both wore Spain jerseys as they looked ahead to the final. “See you in NY!” she wrote, referring to Sunday’s World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19.

As she has in previous posts, García also wore her signature necklace inspired by Yamal, featuring the jersey numbers he has worn during his career with Barcelona.

Earlier in the day, she posted a black-and-white photo hugging Yamal alongside a heartfelt message. “Wishing you all the luck in the world,” she wrote, adding a brown heart and crossed fingers emoji.

Her encouragement appeared to pay off as Spain secured its place in the final.

Inés García’s wish is finally coming true

Before Spain’s quarterfinal against Belgium, FIFA announced that Justin Bieber would headline the halftime show during the World Cup final.

The announcement immediately caught García’s attention. A longtime Belieber, she jokingly pleaded with Yamal to make sure Spain reached the championship game.

Sharing FIFA’s announcement on her Instagram Stories, she wrote: “My love, do whatever it takes to reach the final. Do you hear me? Whatever it takes.” Now, thanks to Spain’s victory, she’ll get her wish.

Spain will learn its opponent after Wednesday’s semifinal between Argentina and England. The winner will advance to Sunday’s final, while the losing team will face France in the third-place match on Saturday.

Yamal’s offside goal

Spain’s 2-0 victory could have been even more convincing.

Yamal thought he had scored what would have been Spain’s third goal of the night, and for a few moments the team celebrated. However, the referee quickly ruled the goal offside, wiping it off the scoreboard despite the teenager’s visible frustration.

Still, the Barcelona star has already enjoyed a memorable tournament. On June 21, during the group stage, he scored his first World Cup goal against Saudi Arabia just 10 minutes after making his first start of the competition.
