Lauren Sanchez made a striking entrance at the glittering state dinner held in honour of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, and all eyes were firmly on her.
Arriving hand-in-hand with Jeff Bezos, Lauren embodied glamour in a sweeping black gown that perfectly balanced timeless elegance with modern allure.
The off-the-shoulder design featured a dramatic plunging neckline, sculpting her silhouette while adding a bold edge to the otherwise classic look. The floor-length dress flowed effortlessly as she walked, creating a sense of movement that only heightened the drama of her arrival.
She elevated the ensemble with a standout emerald necklace, a vibrant pop of colour that drew attention to the neckline and added a regal touch befitting the high-profile evening. A sleek updo completed the look, allowing the jewellery and gown to take centre stage, while a minimalist metallic clutch kept the styling polished and refined.
Beside her, Jeff cut a dashing figure in traditional white-tie attire, complete with a black tailcoat, crisp white waistcoat and bow tie, the pair perfectly in sync with the evening’s formal dress code.
The state dinner, one of the most prestigious events on the diplomatic calendar, brought together global power players, cultural figures and high society for an evening of celebration and international unity.
And while the night was steeped in tradition, Lauren’s fashion moment proved that modern glamour still has a place at even the most historic of occasions.
The day began with Charles delivering an address to Congress on the “special relationship” between the US and the UK, before calling for global cooperation and support for the fight against climate change.
Charles’ address marks only the second time a monarch has spoken to Congress, with the first being his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 1991, and the first time for a British king.
Following his address, the King met with a group of entrepreneurs and leaders, including Jeff, Apple CEO Tim Cook, President and CIO of Alphabet and Google Ruth Porat, and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, in the Lee Drawing Room at Blair House.
On Tuesday, Charles and Donald Trump also had a closed-door meeting in the Oval Office, while Camilla and the First Lady, Melania Trump, led an educational event with students at the White House Tennis Pavilion.
