Marc Anthony and Nadia Ferreira have plenty to celebrate. This past Friday, the couple marked the third birthday of their son, Marco. To commemorate the occasion, the family hosted a party with a Lion King theme, joined by their closest friends and family.
It’s an emotional occasion for the parents; as Ferreira enters the final stretch of her second pregnancy, this is Marquitos’ last birthday as an only child. The family will soon be welcoming a baby girl.
Through social media, Ferreira shared a look at Marcos’ celebration, giving followers a glimpse into the Miami-based party.
For the occasion, Ferreira wore a long, comfortable green dress that she paired with flat shoes, leaving her baby bump on full display. She completed the look with light, understated makeup and her hair styled in soft waves.
Anthony, for his part, wore a brown blazer with jeans, sneakers, and his signature sunglasses. Marquitos looked adorable in a white shirt, brown shorts, and white sneakers featuring Lion King characters on the side.
Ferreira captioned the photos with a sweet message. “My little boy, mi chiquito, mi bebé,” she wrote. “Today you’re three years old and I can’t believe how fast time flies. May God bless you always.”
A Closer Look at Marquitos’ Lion King Birthday Party
The celebration was elaborately decorated around Disney’s The Lion King, featuring many of the film’s characters and key sequences.
Ferreira shared a full look at the setup on social media, including a tiered and colorful cake featuring characters like as Simba and Mufasa. She also shared a look at the party’s piñata, which was shaped like Pride Rock, complete with the animals that are featured on the famous “Circle of Life” opening sequence. Marco’s name was printed at the base of the piñata.
Additional decorations included an assortment of character plushies displayed on a stand for kids to hold, play with, and take home following the end of the party. In a video, Ferreira captured the Happy Birthday singalong, with Marcos flanked by his parents and a cast of Lion King characters.
Among the guests were family friends and celebrities like Francisca, the host of “Despierta America,” Natti Natasha and Raphy Pina, who shared photos of their own from the celebration.
