Prince Archie is only seven years old, yet he may have a bright future in the aviation industry if his mother’s social media post is any indication. Meghan Markle took to Instagram to share insight into the family’s European holiday alongside several snaps of her children, Archie and Princess Lilibet, and her husband, Prince Harry.
One standout photo from the post showed Archie sitting in the cockpit, in the driver’s seat, looking cool, calm and collected as he confidently steered the plane. Surrounding him were the other pilots and plane staff, who watched on and helped the little prince fly the aircraft.
Archie was clad in blue jeans, a red and white T-shirt and a blue captain’s hat, looking laid back as he placed his hands on the steering mechanism. Meghan included several other snaps of her young kids as they soaked up the sun in Portugal, ahead of their visit to the UK. “Summer holiday,” she captioned the post.
Archie has been exploring his hobbies in recent years and discovered a particular love for Legos, which Harry revealed during a visit to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. While speaking to a patient, the 40-year-old shared: “Do you know who’s obsessed with Lego? My son Archie – and he’s a master builder.”
Archie shares his love for Lego with his cousin, Prince George. George’s father, Prince William, was gifted Lego during a visit to the University of Bristol.
The university’s vice-chancellor and president, Evelyn Welch, said on Instagram: “We were really delighted to give Prince William three little Lego models of Isambard Kingdom Brunel to take back home to his children. And he left saying that he knew where to come when George needed help with his homework!”
© InstagramIn addition to his love of Lego, Archie has also been known to take surfing lessons, following in the footsteps of his father, who is an avid surfer. Meghan, Archie and Lilibet were scheduled to join Prince Harry on his trip to the UK, although this was delayed due to security concerns.

The family of four did meet up with Harry’s father and stepmother, King Charles and Queen Camilla, and enjoyed time at Althorp, Princess Diana’s family home in Northamptonshire.
Harry previously opened up in his memoir Spare about the emotional first time that Meghan visited his mother’s grave at Althorp. “I led Meg up the path, around a hedge, through the labyrinth,” he wrote.

“Feeling that Meg might also want a moment, I went around the hedge, scanned the pond,” Harry added. “When I came back, Meg was kneeling, eyes shut, palms against the stone. I asked, as we walked back to the boat, what she’d prayed for. ‘Clarity,’ she said. ‘And guidance.'”
