Princess Tatiana sparked romance rumours with a potential new match as she returned to the media spotlight last week.
The ex-wife of Prince Nikolaos of Greece continues to move forward after the end of her relationship with King Felipe‘s cousin and Queen Sofia‘s nephew.
Tatiana has been seen on several occasions with Mexican businessman Elias Sacal, including at the amfAR gala in Cannes.
Dressed in formal attire and posing for photographers, she was seen alongside Elías, president of Grupo Gicsa, a real estate development company.
The appearance marked one of her first significant public engagements since announcing her divorce from Prince Nikolaos in April 2024, with their warmth and rapport clear to see.
The princess, dressed in a powder pink ensemble complete with an attached cape, captivated everyone’s attention with understated jewelry and a striking floral detail.
Other pictures showed the closeness and camaraderie between them during a stroll through Cap d’Antibes – one of the most exclusive and discreet towns on the French Riviera.
Tatiana’s royal status
Tatiana continues to solidify her status within European royalty, a status she maintains despite her divorce.
Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, the head of the former Greek royal family, confirmed that Tatiana would retain the title of princess after the separation was announced. This is a rare and exceptional situation within European royal houses.
The princess, of Venezuelan origin – though with Slovenian and German roots and raised in Switzerland – maintains a close connection to the former Greek Royal Family at 45.
This bond was forged during her 14-year marriage to Prince Nikolaos, although the end of their relationship ushered in a completely different chapter for her.
Some time after the divorce was announced, Tatiana herself spoke openly about her personal situation. “The last few weeks have been an adventure full of change, growth, and exciting new opportunities,” she explained at the time, adding that “right now, my focus is on expanding our projects and welcoming new partners.”
However, she added that “there were many days when I didn’t want to go on. It was really very difficult…”
Prince Nikolaos’ new chapter
These statements came during a particularly complex period for the princess, which included her ex-husband’s unexpected marriage to Chrysi Vardinogiannis.

The wedding, notably more discreet than other weddings of the former Greek royal family, brought together a small group of family and close friends, including Queen Sofia and Infanta Cristina.
The engagement was made public just weeks before the ceremony.
Chrysi Vardinogiannis, from one of Greece’s most influential business families and daughter of shipping magnate Giorgos Vardinogiannis, had maintained close ties with the Greek royal family for years.
Difficult times
Tatiana’s difficult period was further complicated by problems affecting her own family, due to the disappearance of her brother, Attilio Brillembourg, in the United States.

This experience led her, years later, to promote projects focused on emotional well-being and personal support, especially after recently experiencing episodes of anxiety that she herself decided to share publicly.
She now seems to be entering a new personal phase, marked by her presence at exclusive events on the international scene.
