Sharon Stone added a striking metallic twist to her sartorial agenda as she stepped out for the Knights of Charity gala on May 20 during the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival.
The actress wore a metallic molten gold-and-silver blazer jacket with matching wide-legged pants for the occasion. The coordinated look featured daring sheer detailing that became especially striking under the flash of photographers’ cameras. The blazer was layered over a simple black blouse and styled with a pair of open-toe pumps. For an added touch of glitz, Sharon accessorized with a layered beaded necklace and diamond stud earrings.
The 68-year-olds luscious locks were styled into a wavy bob with a side parting while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a bronze eye and a glossy lip.
The sleek ensemble was very different from the black taffeta gown Sharon wore on the red carpet during the Diamond screening on May 19. The sleeveless garment was adorned with a large bow on the bodice and layered with an oversized cape that boasted a voluminous silhouette.
Sharon kickstarted her fashion marathon in the French Riviera with a strapless gown from London-based label Miss Sohee’s 2026 couture collection. The garment featured a corseted bodice with a figure-hugging silhouette. The front of the dress was adorned with lavender fabric that boasted delicate floral embroidery and intricate crystal embellishments. The sides of the gown were bedazzled with black sequins for a contrasting effect against the white center. Sharon draped a black cape adorned with scatter crystal and floral motifs over the gown.
Sharon in gold
Sharon has become synonymous with the color gold ever since she starred in the 1995 movie Casino, directed by Martin Scorsese. In one memorable scene, her character Ginger is seen gliding through the casino in a nude bodycon dress adorned with shimmering gold embroidery and sequins.
“That dress was so heavy, and those vintage sequins were made of metal, so they cut you,” she told Vogue. “It was miserable to wear but also very exciting.”
Sharon’s recent news
The actress’s appearance comes after she announced the death of her brother Michael Stone, the oldest of the Stone siblings. Alongside a photo of his, she penned: “Mike Stone. My oldest brother has passed away. Following an extended illness. We wish him peace,” signing it “Sharon, Roan, Laird & Quinn,” referencing her three sons.
Sharon is the second of four Stone siblings, with Michael as the oldest, her younger brother Patrick after her, and then her sister Kelly as the youngest.
