“He was an awesome man. Took voice lessons from him in the 80’s. Had a barbershop chair in his studio. I thought that was the coolest. We read a d studied The Uranus together. Enjoyed a few dinners with him and shared stories of my days growing up in Eastern NC. Attending ECU. Etc. Really an inspiration and phenomenal person. ❤️I cherish fond memories of him and a beautiful bookmark he gave me,” another person added.
