Tiger Woods returned home to Florida on Friday after spending several weeks in Switzerland completing a recovery program, following his DUI arrest in March.

The 50-year-old reportedly took his private plane home to the US to be with his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Tiger briefly returned home from Switzerland after Vanessa revealed her cancer diagnosis in May, and also supported her daughter, Kai Trump, at her graduation ceremony in the same month.

Vanessa shared an update on her condition on Saturday, taking to Instagram to write: “Over the past four weeks, I’ve been recovering from surgery, and I’m grateful to be healing and moving forward. Soon, I’ll be starting the second stage of my treatment.”

“Sending love, strength, and hope to everyone fighting this battle,” she concluded. Tiger and Vanessa have been dating since 2024 and announced their romance in 2025. 2026 has been a troubled year for them both, what with Vanessa’s health issues and Tiger’s arrest.

The golf star was arrested on a DUI charge on March 27 following a rollover crash near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida.

Police who attended the scene declared that Tiger showed “signs of impairment” and refused to take a urine test, despite blowing zero on the breathalyzer. He was allegedly found with two white pills in his pocket, which were found to be hydrocodone, a potent painkiller.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is currently embroiled in court proceedings as his lawyer has worked to keep his medical records from being subpoenaed.

According to court papers filed on June 13, the Martin County State Attorney’s office shared their intention to issue a subpoena for “any and all reports documenting statements of [Tiger’s] regarding alcohol or chemical substance use”.

Tiger’s legal team will have 10 days to issue any objections as of June 30. A subpoena was previously issued to his local pharmacy to release his prescription records from January 1 to the date of the crash. The prosecution was seeking information on the number of times his prescriptions were filled between these dates, as well as the number of pills given, the dosage and the instructions given with those pills.

Tiger shared his intention to seek treatment out of the US in a post on X following his crash on March 27. “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health,” he began.

“This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
