It is an extra special, celebratory week for Tim McGraw and his family.
On Tuesday, May 5, the “It’s Your Love” singer’s eldest daughter Gracie rang in her 20th birthday trip around the sun, and fans can’t believe how time has passed.
In addition to the aspiring Broadway star, the 1883 actor and his wife Faith Hill who he married in 1996, are also parents to daughters Maggie, 27, and Audrey, 24.
In honor of Gracie’s special day, Tim, who turned 59 earlier this week, took to Instagram and first shared a photo of a blonde-haired, tanned Gracie as a child, followed by a more recent, black-and-white portrait.
He then wrote: “Our little Gracie turns 29 today!!!! Goes by so fast that it’s hard to comprehend where we are today!”
“We could not be more proud of the young woman you have become and are becoming! Such heart, grace and talent! You are the best of the best and as your father, I can’t imagine how I could be more proud!” he continued. “Have the best day ever sweetie!!!”
Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: “Happiest birthday to your sweet Gracie! Have the most beautiful blessed and happy day ever,” as others followed suit with: “Happy Birthday to your Gracie. I know you are so proud of her,” and: “Wow, it goes by so fast it’s unreal. ENJOY EVERY DAY! Happy birthday and God bless to the McGraw family,” as well as: “Happy birthday to a talented young lady who deserves her own album! Broadway is waiting for you. Have a wonderful day.”
Faith and Tim’s daughters are based largely between Los Angeles and New York City, pursuing varying careers. Gracie lives in New York City, and is a budding Broadway star, having most recently starred in a play featuring Marisa Tomei and Arliss Howard.
Maggie, after earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University, went on to work as a Special Projects and Government Affairs Manager for Earth League International, per her LinkedIn, and is now an intelligence analyst for Major League Baseball. And lastly Audrey is a budding singer who has released a handful of singles and performed on tour with Brandi Carlile.
Back in March, Tim was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee, and had Faith, who has largely retreated from the spotlight, by his side.
During the induction ceremony Friday, per People, Tim was seen fighting back tears as he thanked Faith. “I wouldn’t be standing here today if it weren’t for great women in my life,” he told the crowd. “From my grandmother to my mom, my sisters, my daughters, and most of all, to my wife. Thank you, baby. I would not be standing here today if it wasn’t for you, nor would I want to be.”
And though his daughters couldn’t be in attendance because of prior work commitments, Audrey, who had a performance in Las Vegas on the same night, was sure to give her dad a shout-out on stage. In videos circulating online from her performance at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Audrey appears saying: “I come from a Mississippi woman and a Louisiana man, who just got inducted into the Country Hall of Fame. I’m so, so proud of my dad. Both of my parents. I love them so much.”
