David Beckham marked the start of his 51st birthday celebrations in style, with wife Victoria Beckham by his side.
The couple stepped out for a lavish pre-birthday dinner at The Dorchester in London on Friday night, where Victoria was seen planting a kiss on David’s cheek in a sweet moment shared on social media.
Posting a series of photos from the evening, Victoria gave fans a glimpse inside the intimate family gathering, captioning the images: “The first of many celebrations. Happy birthday eve!”
David appeared relaxed as he celebrated with close family members, including his mother Sandra, father Ted and his partner Hilary, as well as sisters Lynne and Joanne. Victoria’s parents, Jackie and Anthony Adams, were also in attendance, making it a true family affair.
The group enjoyed an elegant dinner, complete with a birthday cake and candles, as David’s milestone moment got underway.
Notably absent from the evening were the couple’s children. While Romeo, Cruz and Harper were not pictured at the event, it was Brooklyn Beckham – David and Victoria’s eldest – whose absence is likely to draw attention.
The family have reportedly experienced a strained relationship over the past year, with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, previously missing David’s 50th birthday celebrations.
Victoria recently spoke candidly about navigating a “challenging” year during an interview on The Today Show, offering a rare insight into how she and David have managed difficult moments behind the scenes.
While she did not directly reference Brooklyn, she emphasised the strength of their relationship and the importance of family support.
“Myself and David, we’re so close and we have incredible people around us,” she said. “We’re close to my parents and David’s parents. We support each other through everything that we do.”
She added that their shared sense of humour has also been key, describing David as “really, super funny”.
The designer also reflected on how their relationship has evolved over the years, noting that they have grown together while continuing to support each other’s ambitions.
“We’ve grown together,” she said. “We support each other. We’ve both got big dreams and we want each other to be the best versions of ourselves.”
Despite any challenges, the evening appeared to be focused on celebration, marking the beginning of what Victoria hinted would be a series of events for David’s birthday.
