John Travolta isn’t the only thrill seeker in his family, as his 15-year-old son is proving to be quite the daredevil.
Ben has made no secret of his love of the slopes, but on Friday, he left fans in awe when he posted a rare video of himself, which you can watch above, performing some impressive stunts while skiing in Switzerland.
The teenager looked like an expert as he fearlessly skied down steep slopes, while also performing jumps and tricks mid-air.
“Loving my @1000skis in verbier. #1000skis #switzerland #skiing,” he captioned the clip, which his proud dad reshared on his own Instagram page.
John’s fans were left shocked by Ben’s skills, with one commenting: “Wowzer!! I AM IMPRESSED!! You are extremely talented, Ben! The one trick with flexing your skis mid air!!…very cool!!
A second said: “Wow! That’s amazing! I am jealous of you in a good way.” A third added: “That boy has got it going on!!!”
In addition to Ben, John also shared daughter Ella Bleu, 26, with his late wife, Kelly Preston, whom he married in 1991 and who passed away from breast cancer in 2020. The couple were also parents to son Jett, who died in 2009 aged 16 after suffering from a seizure.
John opened up about how he approached parenting in the aftermath of Kelly’s passing during a 2021 appearance on Kevin Hart‘s talk show Hart to Heart.
Explaining how Ben feared he would lose John as well, he explained: “I said, ‘Well, it’s a very different thing.’ And I went through the differences about my longevity and her limited life.
“I said, ‘But you know, Ben, you always love the truth and I’m going to tell you the truth about life. Nobody knows when they’re gonna go or when they’re going to stay.'”
He added: “Your brother [Jett] left at 16. Too young. Your mother left at 57. That was too young. But who’s to say? I could die tomorrow. You could. Anybody can… So let’s look at it like it’s part of life. You don’t know exactly. You just do your best at trying to live the longest you can.”
