Chelsea Handler, born February 25, 1975, is an American comedian, actress, author and television host who rose to fame through her sharp humor and unfiltered commentary. After early acting appearances on shows including The Bernie Mac Show, My Wife and Kids and The Practice, Chelsea landed her own late-night series, Chelsea Lately, on E! in 2007. The show became a massive hit for the network and ran for seven seasons, helping turn Chelsea into one of comedy’s biggest television personalities.
Along with her success in late night, Chelsea built a career through stand-up comedy, bestselling books and streaming projects. Over the years, she released multiple comedy specials including Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, Evolution and 2025’s The Feeling, while also hosting Netflix talk shows and documentaries. She has continued touring nationally as a stand-up comedian and frequently makes headlines for her celebrity interviews, viral commentary and outspoken social media posts.
Following the 2016 election, Chelsea became increasingly vocal about political and social issues, often using her platform to discuss topics including women’s rights, racism and mental health. She has long supported organizations like Planned Parenthood and regularly participates in political activism and fundraising events.
