Colombia’s best chance during the 90 minutes came when Gustavo Puerta unleashed a powerful effort that was brilliantly denied by Swiss goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, who kept the match scoreless with a crucial save.

The South American side continued to push during extra time and nearly found the winner. Defender Jhon Lucumí saw his header crash off the crossbar, while Jáminton Campaz missed a golden one-on-one opportunity after capitalizing on a defensive mistake, sending his shot over the crossbar.
