Elsa Pataky has been experiencing a joyful return to her home. Over the past months, Pataky has been working on various Spanish projects, most recently, the TV show “The Tribute.” Through it all, Pataky has opened up about how much she wanted to return home for different acting projects, and how happy it makes her to visit Spain alongside the family she shares with Chris Hemsworth. Still, this doesn’t mean that they see a future in Madrid or any other major city.

Elsa Pataky is one of Byron Bay, Australia’s most famous residents, having a home that has access to all sorts of adventurous elements, from motorcycles to horses to surfing. As reported by Harper’s Bazaar Spain, this freedom has resulted in the development of a family philosophy, with her and her kids feeling their best when they’re immersed in nature.

“Adapting to a city is complicated when they’ve been living in the midst of nature, surfing, spending time on the beach, and their days outdoors,” she said in Spanish. “I feel like it would be like locking a bird in a cage.”

Still, this doesn’t mean that she and Hemsworth don’t love spending time in Spain and traveling together. “My husband loves Spain. We hope to travel and spend more time here,” she said.

Pataky’s new series is a personal one, with her not only starring in it but serving as one of its executive producers. As she was more involved with the production, Pataky found herself taking on a role that had more leadership to it, helping the production move along smoothly.

One of these decisions involved some cameos from her family, including her husband and one of their sons. “As a producer, you always like the cheapest way to do something. We knew that we had to shoot in Australia. The director said we had to shut down [the production in Spain], and we were not going to pay for everybody to go to Australia. I said: ‘No problem, we’ll do it. I’ll get my husband, I’ll get my kids, and get my brother behind the camera,'” she explained on an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“We shot it very simply, with one camera. Of course, Chris was there, and it was close to my house. It’s a little surprise. And it’s so unexpected.”
