Hugh Grant leads the most surprising celebrity guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s MSG wedding

Hugh Grant was pictured arriving with his wife Anna Eberstein. The Bridget Jones actor revealed he was a fan of Taylor after attending her Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium in June 2024. 

“Dear @taylorswift13,” he wrote on X the next day. “You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend. (#tequilashots.) Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”

Taylor was clearly touched by the message, and despite revealing Travis mistook Hugh’s wife for Barbie director Greta Gerwig, she extended a wedding invite which the couple happily accepted.

There appears to be no more bad blood between Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss. After years of speculation surrounding the status of their once-close friendship, the supermodel made a surprise appearance at the wedding in a strapless liquid gold satin gown.

The glamorous appearance marked a significant moment, with fans long wondering whether Karlie would be invited to Taylor and Travis’ wedding celebrations following years of rumors of a feud.

While Jason Sudeikis’ appearance may be surprising for some, he is a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and even once joked with Travis about making “an honest woman out of” Taylor during a skit for the Children’s Mercy fundraiser in June 2024. His invitation to their Friday wedding was the answer he was looking for.

Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran is a huge Swiftie! So much so that when Taylor released The Life of a Showgirl last October, Barbara gave her employees the day off, which prompted Taylor to send her a box full of Eras Tour swag, including a t-shirt, sweatshirt, a blanket, and a mug.

It appears an appreciation was formed, and Barbara revealed on Friday that she was “getting ready for a very special wedding,” adding: “Such a love story and the groom is such a hunk. I can’t wait to get there and I’m so happy for them.”

Ethan Hawke was just as surprised to be invited to witness Taylor and Travis marry. Despite starring in her music video for “Fortnight,” he told Entertainment Tonight: “Good luck to them, I’m happy for them.

“I don’t think I’m gonna be invited, but I can hope,” he added. “I just want to be invited to a Chiefs game. That’d be fine. I don’t need to go to the whole megillah.” Perhaps we’ll spot him at a Chiefs game next.

Fleabag star Andrew Scott managed to bag an invite despite the confusion surrounding the infamous group chat with Taylor’s ex, Joe Alwyn. Andrew, Joe and Paul Mescal were in a group chat called “Tortured Man Club,” which gained notoriety after Taylor released The Tortured Poets Department.

“They were about to play these tortured characters, and I had played a tortured character in Fleabag. It wasn’t about our own characteristics!” Andrew told Variety. 

After Andrew texted Taylor “to say how amazing” the album was, any reported tension appeared to be squashed. “I think she is just a force of nature, just an extraordinary human, and this album is really, really amazing,” he added.

Graham Norton may have been just as surprised as anyone to learn that Taylor kept to her word when she implied she was inviting him to her wedding during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show last year.

When asked if her wedding was taking place in 2026, the “Ophelia” hitmaker said: “Oh, you’ll know.” Following up, Graham continued: “So you’re going big?” 

Taylor then extended the invite, replying: “I was just meaning, I was going to invite you to it,” which prompted an overwhelmed Graham to reply: “I’ve got to go! If you’re inviting me, it’s very big.” “It’s huge!” Taylor responded – and Graham did, in fact, go to her wedding.
