Julia Roberts has spent decades fiercely protecting the part of her life that matters most to her – her family. The mother of 3 is known for keeping her personal life incredibly private. But now that her children are adults, she seems to be putting down the veil.
After being spotted with her youngest son, Henry, last week, Roberts was spotted on Tuesday on another rare outing. This time with her oldest son, Phinnaeus “Finn” Moder.

While she admitted her acting career was a dream come true, she told CBS in 2022, another was, “The life that I’ve built with my husband.” “The life that we’ve built with our children,” she said, adding, “that’s the best stuff.” “The point is to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them.”
Roberts and Daniel “Danny” Moder have been married since July 4, 2002, and will soon celebrate their 24th wedding anniversary. The couple shares Phinnaeus, his twin sister Hazel, and Henry.
According to InStyle, they were raised between properties in homes in California, Hawaii, New York City, Taos, and New Mexico. She told Oprah in 2018 that her kids grew up very normally, and she was always at home. “I don’t think they will ever have a true sense of [my fame],” she said. They seem to appreciate the privacy, too. None of the kids have followed in a “nepo baby” route or used their parents’ fame for a social media following and life as influencers.
Their lives remain private, but we do know they have since left the nest. Henry started school in NYC, and in a 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she admitted she was “sobbing” at first. “It’s all fun, honestly…I love hanging out with them and spending time with them,” she continued. “Fortunately, we have had lots of visits along the way to this empty nest.”
