Katie Holmes shared a rare glimpse into her blossoming romance with artist Jason Bard Yarmosky.
The Dawson’s Creek actress, 47, made a stylish appearance alongside her new boyfriend at a Ferragamo pop-up event in Bridgehampton, New York, on Friday, where the pair caught attention in coordinated navy blue outfits.
When asked about their matching looks by Elle, Katie smiled: “I think we just have similar taste.”
The understated remark marked one of the first times the notoriously private actress has publicly acknowledged her relationship with the New York-based artist.
Katie looked effortlessly chic in a navy ensemble, while Jason complemented her look in coordinating shades of blue, with guests reportedly noticing just how comfortable the pair appeared together.
According to attendees, the couple spent much of the evening “whispering and giggling” as they mingled with fellow guests.
Their latest outing comes just weeks after they made another appearance together at the premiere of The Invite in East Hampton.
For the screening, Katie wore a semi-sheer navy button-up blouse with a champagne fringed skirt, black mule heels and a vibrant orange handbag. Jason, meanwhile, opted for a navy crew-neck sweater paired with tailored wide-leg trousers and polished black dress shoes.
An eyewitness noted that the couple arrived hand in hand, adding that Jason “was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing.”
Who is Jason Bard Yarmosky?
Katie’s new partner is an accomplished contemporary artist based in New York. Born in 1987, Jason graduated from New York City’s School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010. According to his official website, his work explores themes of “aging, time and memory”, subjects that have fascinated him since childhood.
The couple reportedly met at a Tribeca Festival dinner in New York in June before quietly beginning their relationship.
A busy year for Katie
The romance comes during an exciting creative chapter for Katie. Last summer, she reunited with her former Dawson’s Creek co-star and ex-boyfriend Joshua Jackson to film Happy Hours, a romantic drama that she wrote, directed and stars in.
The film follows divorced photographer Liz and travel writer Andrew, former high school sweethearts who reconnect later in life.
Reflecting on working with Joshua again after 25 years, Katie told Variety: “We hadn’t worked together in 25 years, and we’ve changed a lot.”
She added: “We also wanted to give ourselves the space to show different sides of ourselves and to not portray these people we’re known for.”
After Katie shared a promotional photo of the pair on Instagram, one fan commented that they “should be a couple”, a remark the actress notably liked. However, she later clarified that the love story in Happy Hours is not inspired by her own life.
Before finding happiness with Jason, Katie was linked to musician Bobby Wooten III, chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. and actor Jamie Foxx. She also shares daughter Suri Cruise, 20, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
