A Married At First Sight producer has reportedly vanished after she was last seen on a beach two weeks ago.

Katie Walker, 46, who worked on the Australian version of the show, was last contacted by phone on May 22. Her last known location is believed to be Bondi Beach, Sydney, the following day.

Police were notified about her disappearance and an investigation into her whereabouts has been launched.

A resident posted the police appeal in a community group to raise awareness of Katie’s disappearance.

“I’m sure she is a member of this group. And [she] works in the TV industry,” they wrote.

According to her LinkedIn, Katie has worked as a multimedia producer in Sydney for years, including seven months at EndemolShine Australia, where she worked on season 12 of Married At First Sight Australia.

She most recently worked as a producer for the creative company Elastic. She has a degree from the University of Birmingham.

Katie is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 160cm tall, of thin build and with brown eyes and brown hair. She has a small, black butterfly tattoo on her right hand.

Police said she is believed to frequently visit Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

New South Wales Police said in a Facebook appeal: “Can you help us find Katie? Katie, aged 46, was last spoken to by phone on Friday, 22 May 2026.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

The popular reality show hit the headlines last month when Channel 4 removed all seasons of Married At First Sight UK in May following “very serious” allegations of sexual assault from previous participants.

The decision comes as two women on the social experiment series claimed that they were raped by their on-screen ‘husbands’ during filming, according to the BBC.

The publication’s investigation includes allegations from a third woman of a non-consensual sex act taking place while filming the Channel 4 reality series. The widely-watched UK version of the reality TV series, which premiered in 2015 and aired its tenth season at the end of last year, is no longer available on streaming services.

The news broke ahead of BBC Panorama’s special investigation into the claims. Channel 4 announced on 18 May that there is an external review currently underway. The review was commissioned into contributor welfare on the popular reality TV series last month.

“In April, Channel 4 was presented with serious allegations of wrongdoing against a small number of past contributors, allegations that we understand those contributors have denied. The channel is mindful of the privacy and continuing duty of care towards all contributors, and cannot comment on or disclose details of those allegations,” the broadcaster addressed the news in a press release.

Priya Dogra, Chief Executive of Channel 4, expressed “sympathy to contributors who have clearly been distressed” after participating in the social experiment series.

“On the claims that Channel 4 may have failed in its duty of care, I believe that when concerns about contributor welfare were raised, and based on the information available at the time, Channel 4 acted quickly, appropriately, sensitively and with wellbeing front and centre,” the statement continued.

“Nevertheless, because we aspire to the highest standards of contributor welfare, I felt strongly as Channel 4’s new CEO that it was right that we look again at how we handled issues raised at the time and ask whether changes should be made to further strengthen contributor welfare,” she explained the decision to commission an external review.

Channel 4 chief content officer Ian Katz said the broadcaster “ensured that women involved were kept safe when any issues were raised to us” and were given “appropriate support”, after allegations of rape and sexual misconduct were made by Married At First Sight UK participants.
