Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a rare appearance at the wedding of their brother, Trent Olsen, after disappearing from the spotlight to focus on their fashion line, The Row.
The 40-year-old twins looked incredible in matching floor-length black dresses and flowing blonde hairstyles, as they stood surrounded by their blended family, which included Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen.
The newlyweds, Trent and his wife Alexis, were front and center of the family photo, with the bride in a stunning strapless gown. Ashley was accompanied by her husband, Louis Eisner, while Elizabeth, who is expecting her first child, stood with her husband, Robbie Arnett.
Also in attendance were Mary-Kate and Ashley’s younger half-siblings, Courtney and Jake Olsen. “Family,” wrote Alexis in her Instagram caption, alongside the snap of her new in-laws.
Mary-Kate and Ashley’s parents, Dave and Jarnette Olsen, welcomed Trent, the twins, and Elizabeth, before divorcing in 1995. Dave then married McKenzie Olsen, and they had Courtney in 1997 and Jake the following year.
While Dave and Jarnette helped the girls on their journey to fame, Elizabeth shared that Mary-Kate and Ashley were always incredibly independent and driven.
“My parents had very little to do with my sisters’ job really, at least not after getting them that first job,” she told The Guardian. “They always did what they could to hook them up with the right people to handle things, like being child stars and managing assets and running production companies and so on, but they never pretended they could do it well themselves.”

The former child stars shot to fame as babies in Full House, before going on to build an empire with several feature films, merchandise and a production company to their names. They established their fashion line, The Row, in 2005, and have seen it grow to incredible heights with pieces being worn by Jennifer Lawrence, Gigi Hadid and Hailey Bieber.
“We had just moved to New York. We were 18 years old, and I think what we did know was that we wanted to take that time to take a break from what we were previously doing and to explore things that interested us, and explore what life has to offer…” Ashley told i-D about the birth of The Row.
Mary-Kate and Ashley later told Vogue that they preferred to stay out of the spotlight and let their creative work do all the talking.
“We’ve been there, we’ve done that, we started out that way,” Mary-Kate said of returning to acting. “This is the way we chose to move forward in our lives: to not be in the spotlight, to really have something that speaks for itself.”
“We didn’t want to be in front of it; we didn’t necessarily even want to let people know it was us. It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don’t have to?” Ashley added.
