Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are giving fans a glimpse into their latest night out together.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a charity event in Canada on Friday, Aug. 7, in support of their longtime friend David Foster, who was celebrating four decades of fundraising through the David Foster Foundation.

The following day, Meghan, 45, took to Instagram to share a candid snapshot from the evening, featuring herself and Harry, 41, smiling for the camera.

Meghan wore a special piece of royal history

In the selfie, Meghan cozied up next to her husband while wearing a dress by Canadian fashion label Greta Constantine. She completed the look with a sentimental accessory: the late Princess Diana’s diamond-and-sapphire earrings.

Harry kept things classic in a black tuxedo and matching bow tie as he posed alongside Meghan.

The Instagram post also featured footage of the couple mingling at the event, including moments when they greeted performers and chatted with fellow guests.

Meghan kept her caption short and sweet, adding only a Canadian flag emoji and a red heart.

Meghan also offered additional snapshots from the couple’s Canadian getaway on her Instagram Stories.

One video showed the Canadian flag waving outside as Meghan filmed from inside a car. She also shared a professional photograph of herself and Harry from the charity event.

And because no celebration is complete without dessert, Meghan gave followers a look at one of the evening’s standout treats: a chocolate piano decorated with purple frosting.

The couple has a longtime connection to David Foster

Meghan and Harry’s friendship with Foster, 76, stretches back several years.

Foster’s wife, Katharine McPhee, was also among the attendees at the Aug. 7 fundraiser, along with singers Adam Levine and Josh Groban.

The event marked 40 years of fundraising for the David Foster Foundation, which supports families caring for children who require organ transplants.

Meghan honors Princess Diana once again

Meghan’s choice to wear Diana’s diamond-and-sapphire earrings was especially notable, coming just two weeks after she and Harry shared a rare glimpse of their two children, Princess Lilibet, 5, and Prince Archie, 7.

Canada holds a special place in their love story

Canada has long been meaningful to Meghan and Harry.

Before marrying into the royal family, Meghan lived in Toronto while filming Suits. It was also during her time in the Canadian city that her relationship with Harry began.
