Happy birthday, Sunday Rose!
The newly-minted Dior girl and budding model officially hit her adult years on July 7, celebrating her 18th birthday shortly after walking the runway for Christian Dior’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2026-2027 show as part of Paris Fashion Week.
Nicole’s 18th birthday tribute to daughter Sunday Rose
To celebrate her big day, her mom Nicole Kidman took to Instagram with a pair of baby photos of her daughter, one of Sunday in her arms as a baby in a white frilled dress, and another prancing around her childhood home in angel wings.
From the facial features to her hair developing into natural curls, Sunday fully embodied both her mom and her dad Keith Urban. Nicole and Keith split after nearly 20 years of marriage in late 2025, finalizing their divorce in January 2026.
“Happy 18th my angel, you couldn’t be more loved,” proud mom Nicole gushed in her caption. Famous friends like Sandra Bullock, Mariska Hargitay, Naomi Watts and Michelle Pfeiffer liked the post, and Reese Witherspoon commented: “Happy Birthday, Sunny.”
Sunday’s modeling career
Sunday is Nicole and Keith’s older daughter, they also share 15-year-old Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban together. Nicole adopted daughter Bella and son Connor while married to Tom Cruise in the ’90.
In October 2024, at the age of 16, Sunday made her runway debut for Miu Miu. She has since appeared in campaigns for brands like Omega and walked the runway for Dior, Khaite and Calvin Klein.
© Instagram“[During the show] I was thinking about my chemistry homework and hoping my teacher would give me an extension on the deadline,” she recalled in a conversation with Elle Australia of her catwalk debut nearly two years ago.
“I was also thinking about how I was so excited to see everyone who was sitting at the show. But when I got out onto the runway, I couldn’t see a single person because I was so focused on what was ahead of me and walking in those heels.”
She then developed a friendship and strong working relationship with Dior’s Jonathan Anderson, walking in his very first runway show as the brand’s creative director and even bestowing him with Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in December 2025.
© Instagram“I think Jonathan has really just taken [Dior] to another level, one that no-one really would have even thought there was,” she noted of him. “And he’s doing it all while paying tribute to the old Dior, but putting his own new vibe into everything he designs.”
Life lessons from Nicole and Keith
Through it all, though, she’s keeping her grounded upbringing top of mind, especially the lessons she was taught since she was a baby by both Nicole and Keith, particularly when it comes to work ethic.
© Getty Images“Something that’s always been followed in my house is doing, not just saying,” Sunday remarked. “It basically means that if you say you’re going to do something, stick to your word and do it. Don’t just talk about how much you want to, but actually put your mind to it and get it done.”
