Preliminary reports indicate that at least 164 people have died, while nearly 1,000 remain missing and hundreds more have been injured as rescue teams continue searching through collapsed buildings and damaged communities.

The Prince’s Palace shared the statement across its official social media platforms, where it was met with an outpouring of gratitude from followers, including many Venezuelans who thanked the Monaco royal family for remembering the victims during one of the country’s deadliest natural disasters in recent history.
