Queen Máxima of the Netherlands once again demonstrated her mastery of diplomatic dressing as she continued her official visit to India, choosing a meaningful fashion statement for a day of engagements in Mumbai.
The Dutch queen is visiting the country in her role as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
During her time in Mumbai, she participated in discussions focused on inclusive economic growth, women’s financial well-being, and meetings with senior officials, including Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra.

For the occasion, Queen Máxima turned to a trusted wardrobe favorite, reviving a blue paisley-print wrap dress by Zimmermann that perfectly reflected the cultural heritage of her host nation.

The midi-length design, known as the Fiesta dress, first appeared in Queen Máxima’s wardrobe during her previous visit to India in September 2022.
She wore it while visiting the Jaipur boutique of Amrapali Jewels, where she joined Princess Diya Kumari in exploring traditional Indian jewelry craftsmanship.
