Just when we thought we couldn’t love Reese Witherspoon any more, the American actress channelled her iconic role as Elle Woods for an evening out with her son, Deacon Philippe.
The Oscar-winning actress, 50, stepped out at the premiere of the new Legally Blonde prequel Elle in New York City on Tuesday night.
Reese looked sensational, choosing an off-the-shoulder pink dress which perfectly hugged her petite frame as she stood with her towering son, 22. The blonde bombshell paired her lace pink gown with a pair of nude stilettos, which perfectly accentuated her hot pink pedicure.
Meanwhile, Reese styled her trademark blonde tresses impeccably straight with a slick side parting. As for her makeup, the Hello Sunshine founder opted for black eye makeup, copious rosy blusher and pink lipstick.

Just hours before stepping out at the premiere, Reese took to Instagram to mark National Pink Day. She penned, alongside a series of photos from her Elle Woods days as well as in behind-the-scenes moments from the new series, she wrote: “Celebrating National Pink Day…because pink is more than just a colour. It’s confidence, optimism and kindness.”
Like mother, like son
The mother-son duo’s joint red carpet appearance came just weeks after Deacon graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in music production and songwriting.
The ceremony, held at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall, included an appearance by honoured guest speaker Laura Dern.

I’m so proud of you @deaconphillippe, and bonus of the year: @lauradern was the honoured speaker!”
The comments were flooded with messages from Reese’s celebrity friends. Gwyneth Paltrow wrote: “Go Deacon!!” alongside a purple love heart emoji.

Reese shares Deacon with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, who was married to the actress from 1999 to 2007. The pair also shares a daughter, Ava, 26.
