Ricki Lake is looking back on the second anniversary of her facelift by sharing never-before-seen before-and-after photos from the procedure on Instagram.
The former talk show host took to Instagram to give fans an insight into the procedure she underwent in July 2024. Lake captioned the snaps: “Happy 2 year anniversary to me. Yes, 2 years ago today, I had a facelift. Specifically, for those wondering, I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift along with a mild co2 laser.”
The 57-year-old star hailed her plastic surgeon Dr Allen Foulad and said that the results of the procedure “have been remarkable, natural, and long-lasting”.
Lake wrote, “Back in 2023, I had lost 40lbs over the course of the year, and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. It was never going to tighten up by itself. I took a leap of faith and I’m so grateful I did.”
‘I’m fully transparent’
© rickilake / InstagramLake has long been open about her decision to have a facelift and previously said she “loved” being able to talk about it. She explained during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live last year, “I’m fully transparent, always have been. I don’t want there to be any stigma.”
Lake joked: “I kind of think it’s the best facelift I’ve ever seen.”

The Hairspray actress has also been candid about her attempts to lose weight, which she embarked on alongside her husband Ross Burningham in 2023.
Lake wrote in a 2024 Instagram post: “On October 26th, 2023 I made a commitment to myself to get healthier. “I really want to share, because we did this without relying on a pharmaceutical. (Not that there is anything wrong with that). Both of us felt like we wanted to at least try and do it on our own. I am so so proud of us. I feel amazing. I feel strong.”

Lake hosted her popular eponymous talk show from 1993 to 2004 but later revealed that she chose to step away after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City reshaped her perspective. She witnessed the events firsthand from her West Village apartment.
She told the On Par with Maury Povich podcast, “I could have done it for probably a decade longer. I made that choice. 9/11 was a huge trajectory shift in my life. Every aspect of my life changed from witnessing that experience that day from my West Village apartment.”
