Sofía Vergara is celebrating another trip around the sun in style.
The Modern Family star marked her 54th birthday with a luxurious getaway in Italy, giving fans a peek at the festivities by sharing a series of photos and videos from the celebration on social media.
Actress Turns Heads in Red Bikini
One day after her July 10 birthday, Vergara posted a photo of herself lounging aboard a yacht while wearing a vibrant red string bikini.
The actress smiled as she relaxed on a cushioned seat with the sparkling ocean and picturesque Italian coastline serving as the backdrop. She completed the look with gold bangles and a delicate diamond necklace.
“So happy for all the love from u guys yesterday! It was the best bday ever!!! ❤️😘 and thank u Italy for all my 300 cakes! 🤣🎂,” she joked in the caption. “54 is a good number!!!!👵.”
Birthday Celebration Included Plenty of Cake
Vergara’s Instagram Stories gave fans an even closer look at the birthday festivities.
One video showed a speedboat flying a custom “Happy Birthday” flag featuring her face as family and friends serenaded her while playing tambourines.

That dessert was just one of many, as another birthday cake featured an edible image of Vergara’s face and was decorated with sparklers and glowing red candles.
Her 34-year-old son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, also joined in the celebration, posing with a tambourine decorated with his mother’s photo.
Staff Surprised Her With Even More Desserts
The birthday surprises kept coming throughout the evening.
In another video, restaurant staff danced toward Vergara’s table carrying multiple cakes topped with sparklers as guests cheered her on. The actress danced along with the celebration before joking, “I already know what to do,” as more candles were lit.

Vergara Has Embraced Getting Older
While Vergara is clearly enjoying life at 54, she has previously admitted that reaching her 50s initially made her uneasy.
Speaking during PEOPLE’s 2024 Most Beautiful issue, the actress said she once associated turning 50 with getting old, but her outlook has changed over time.
She explained that she now feels great despite recognizing she doesn’t look exactly the same as she did years ago. Vergara also joked that she doesn’t see herself embracing an all-white hairstyle anytime soon, saying she’s not quite ready for that look.
