Russell Crowe has broken his silence following an intense interaction he faced with autograph seekers outside his Paris hotel.
As the actor exited the premises, he was forced to warn fans to keep their distance as the crowd began pressing too close to him. “Stay where you are, don’t [expletive] push in on me. I’ll come to you. Give everyone space,” he said. “As soon as somebody is a [expletive], I’m gone. We clear?”
The video went viral on social media following the interaction and Russell was forced to address the situation on X. “Everybody got their autograph and selfie, the passage to the hotel was kept free for guests, and I still got to the airport on time. One man, no security. Handled,” he penned.
Russell Crowe’s recent outing
The viral video comes after the actor was spotted with his girlfriend Britney Therioton on May 24 at the French Open. The couple opted for coordinating looks as they sat courtside and enjoyed the match.
Russell wore a navy blazer that was layered over a gray waistcoat, a light blue shirt, and a matching time. Meanwhile, Theriot also donned a navy blazer with a light blue collared shirt. The couple wore a pair of matching brown-tinted aviator sunglasses.
The pair were first romantically linked in November 2020, when they were spotted enjoying a game of tennis together. Russell and Britney made their red carpet debut in October 2022 at the premiere of Poker Face in Italy.
Last year, the New Zealand-born star took to X to share that their age gap was just 18 years, rather than the 30 years that many had believed to be true. “I have clarified this on many occasions, but some people prefer the fiction,” he said. “It is so ungentlemanly to do this. However, my lovely Britney is 42 years of age. I am 61.”
“All these reports keep coming out saying that Britney and I are engaged and I’m going to get married again,” Russell previously said to Australia’s 60 Minutes. “No. We are very, very good friends, and we have a wonderful relationship. My life is so joyous and happy at the moment – why ruin that with a wedding?”
“Why would I go through… I’ve been married once. I know how it can go and where it can go. So I don’t need to go to that place,” he added.
The actor was previously married to Danielle Spencer from 2003 to 2012 and the former couple share sons Charles and Tennyson.
