The case has become one of this years biggest mysteries

With her whereabouts still unknown, the Today host returned to Instagram on Monday with an emotional message directed at the person or people who may know what happened to her 84-year-old mother.

“I’m coming on today with a very specific message,” Savannah began the video. “It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end,” she continued. “Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part. And we will never stop looking for her.”

Savannah then appeared to address whoever may have information about Nancy directly, asking them to finally help bring the family’s search to an end. “So I’m asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now,” she said. “Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her.”

She added, “I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing.”

The video, which Savannah captioned simply, “bring her home,” comes just days before August 1 marks six months since Nancy disappeared.

The comments are filled with confused fans. “It makes ZERO sense how there isn’t anymore leads or information,” someone commented.

Authorities have said the investigation remains active, but there have been no arrests and Nancy has not been found.

Savannah’s latest message also comes during a significant time in the investigation, with new details about the case emerging publicly.

Last week, crime journalist Briana Whitney appeared on Ashley Flowers‘ Crime Junkie podcast and read the contents of what has been described as the first ransom note sent after Nancy disappeared.

“Hello, Savannah. We have your mother, Nancy. She is safe but scared,” the note began. The message demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin and claimed Nancy would be released if the money was received.

It also included deadlines and threatened that Nancy would be killed if the demands were not met. The first demand was reportedly for $4 million in Bitcoin, which would rise to $6 million if the initial deadline passed.

Nancy was reported missing from her home outside Tucson on February 1, sparking a massive investigation involving the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and FBI.

Surveillance footage recovered during the investigation showed a masked person wearing a backpack outside Nancy’s home around the time of her disappearance.

Despite the months that have passed, Savannah made it clear that her family isn’t giving up. “For all of us, no matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I believe there is always a way home,” she said toward the end of Monday’s video. “Please make the right choice.”
