Shakira looks amazing, as always. In a new set of photos, the Colombian icon was photographed enjoying her life in Miami, wearing a stylish red fringed bikini.
In photos shared earlier this week, Shakira was photographed on the dock by her home in Miami. She was spotted taking a dip in the bay, wearing an all-red outfit where the star was her bathing suit.
Shakira wore a red bikini with both pieces decorated with numerous fringes, making for a fitting bathing suit for her. She was also photographed wearing a short matching skirt, rounding out the unicolor look.
She also completed the look with some polarized sunglasses and was seen enjoying herself fully, taking a dip in the bay. After she climbed out, she grabbed the hose and rinsed the water off her body, speaking with someone off camera.
The photos were captured ahead of Colombia and Switzerland’s round of 16 match, which ultimately resulted in the heartbreaking elimination of the Latin American country. As of now, the only Latin American team that remains in the competition is Argentina.
What comes next for Shakira
Shakira is preparing for one of the biggest moments of her career. On July 19th, she’ll be performing the official World Cup song, “Dai Dai,” at the World Cup final. She’ll likely perform other songs, and will be joined by a roster of performers that includes Madonna, who’s just released an album with rave reviews, BTS, and Coldplay.
Justin Bieber recently announced that he has also joined this lineup. “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” Bieber said in a statement. “I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”
As reported by ESPN, the halftime show will last 11 minutes and will be curated by Chris Martin. The show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which will raise $100 million to help children access education and soccer.
Shakira has discussed the mission for her song. “The song has a meaning that’s more special than any other because it serves a purpose,” she said in an interview with Noticias Caracol. “The importance of investing in children’s education and providing them with opportunities so that they’re the champions of tomorrow. I want that to be what steals the show on that World Cup final stage.”
Other stars include Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus, the chorus of elementary school students in Staten Island, New York.
